Animal Feed
Historically the animal feed industry was
the core of our sack business. Sacks were
supplied to the largest feed mills but in
the late 1980s this changed due to plastic.
Plastic became cheaper, however this trend
is now reversing. With the introduction
of the Packaging Waste Regulations (it is
cheaper and easier to recycle paper
than plastic) and with the increase in
oil prices, the plastic sack is no longer
as attractive. This has meant a return to
paper sacks for many feed mills.
