Block Bottomer arrives at site
Today is the day that we have long been waiting for since the decision was taken to purchase a Block Bottomer in order to gain access to the open mouth block bottom and valve block bottom sack market.

The Peter Marsh Group, the Bootle based packaging company is busily preparing for its 175th Anniversary. The Group consists of Peter Marsh & Sons Ltd who make paper sacks and Peter Marsh Packaging who make corrugated boxes.

Wayne Thomas Retires
On Thursday 31st March 2011, Wayne Thomas an employee of 29 years retired shortly after his 67 Birthday. Wayne had been a Director of the Company and played a massive part in the Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety areas within the Group.
You will see from other pages how highly accredited we are as a Company and this has all been done with Wayne's influence and input. He will be a very hard man to replace but recently Jane Ashton joined us as the new QESH Manager.
Pictures can be seen of Jane and Wayne at his retirement party which was held in the Boardroom and was attended by the majority of employees from both factories. Wayne is seen having a few drinks with colleagues and also receiving a gift from the Company, given to him by Simon Marsh, the Chairman. Also Wayne was presented with a gift from the employees which was given to him by Diane Jones from the Sales Office.

y nice for both Wayne and the Company to see that his service to the Packaging Industry was recognised by an award from the Sheet Plant Association. A photo can be seen of Wayne receiving this from Tim Gray of the SPA. 
We wish Wayne a long and happy retirement and equally we wish Jane Ashton every success within the organisation. Lets hope she can do as many years as Wayne!
